People suffering hair loss for the first time face a barrage of so called hair loss solutions that do nothing else but to increase tension and worry which in turn exasperates the situation even more.  With that said however, how do you find out what works and what doesn’t and are they all myths to be avoided at all costs?  Hair loss, like weight loss, is an emotive subject that has lent itself to much abuse over the years simply because many sufferers become desperate and tend to want to believe what is placed before them without wanting to question the reality of the situation at hand.
Those of us, who have gone through the heartache of trying every hair loss solution we come across that promises to be the answer to the problem that we have been seeking to overcome, only suffer increased  disappointment when we are finally forced to accept the fact that it was just another of the myriad of money making ‘cons’ out there in today’s market.
How then can a person be wary of these ‘traps’ and go straight to a proven successfully true hair loss solution that is known to work.
The answer is that you must first determine the cause of your problem.  It is a total waste of time trying out one solution after another if the underlying cause is not determined and treated first.  Once the cause is discovered you can then begin to seek out the cure be it pharmaceutically based or a more traditional remedy of the type that is now coming back into serious consideration by many.
Once you have accepted the cause of your own premature loss of hair you will be better placed to seek out the cure which may well be that of laser treatment or even hair transplant  but remember that men and women often have different underlying causes of hair loss as many women suffer such a dilemma during pregnancy and even menopause.  To find out more you must visit the following site.

Dht inhibitors truth and lies

Before taking action to prevent balding it is advisable to determine the cause as there are many myths out there doing the rounds. It could be that DHT inhibitors are the answer you have been seeking all the time.  And you could do a lot worse than talking to your hair professional or doctor about a suitable cure.
DHT inhibitors are often the most cost effective treatment for both female hair loss and male pattern baldness that is responsible for that well known horseshoe shaped loss of hair around the crown of the head and the troublesome receding hair line.
DHT is a hormonal by-product of testosterone which means it is a natural by-product that the body does not require.  DHT inhibitors are therefore a safe way of preventing DHT from impeding the normal hair growth process.  It works its miracle by stopping DHT in in tracks as it goes about shrinking and stopping the growth of hair follicles especially in that of men around the temples and crown of the head.
Both men and women have DHT hormones despite many people referring it to being a male hormone only. This means that both men and women suffer hair loss as a result of DHT and the over production of DHT has been found to be mainly hereditary.  A fact that explains that only some people in the community suffer from hair loss.
It is particularly hard to prevent the effects of over production of a hormone such as DHT, if it is a hereditary trait, with the use of other medications when the simple and safe treatment is the prevention of DHT with a natural and appropriate inhibitor.
Not all hair loss treatments are DHT blockers, many others focus on cleaning hair follicles, the increase of scalp blood flow and the addressing of  clogging issues.  There are many and varied causes of hair loss but the use of DHT blockers is the safest way to go if there is any sign of hereditary factors being involved.

Oh why oh why am I loosing my hair?

Going bald and hair loss

Loosing hair cause acute anxiety in most men as they associate their hair loss with early aging, and deterioration in looks which goes on to damage self-confidence. Its a horrible emotional domino effect. Balding which is also known as Androgenic Alopecia effects over 90% of men. 60% of men are effected before their fifties. This common condition that effects nearly ALL men is also referred to as “male pattern baldness”.

The most common causes of hair loss are :

  • Testosterone the male hormone
  • heredity (That dna programming controls when your follicles will die due to hormonal imbalances.

Hair loss usually occurs fist in the crown or temples. Loosing hair in the temples has the most dramatic effect on appearance as it’s most noticeable. Complete hair loss usually occurs over a period of 5 to ten years, although some sufferers can loose all their hair in as little as 12 months. This rapid loss is usually a result of dht proliferation due to dna programming.

What can you do about hair loss?

This is where you need to do your homework and depending on what stage of hair loss you are at will determine your best solutions. One treatment all early stage hair loss sufferers MUST implement is dht blockers . These are the proven hair follicle killers. Dht inhibitors stop them dead in thier tracks.

The most common off the shelf treatments for hair loss are :

  • Propecia (Finisteride)
  • Rogaine Minoxidil
  • Dht blockers (Provillus)

The above bar Porvillus are FDA approved. Roagine was accidently discovered while minioxidil was being used in acne treatment tests. I was seen to cause hair growth in the treated areas. Propecia is available by prescription only. You should be consulting your doctor as soon as possible when you are worried baout hair loss. Propecia and Rogaine are known to have side effects in some men and women. This is usually only temporary and occurs in the early stages of the treatment.

Do not buy propecia online

Like I said above, propecia is a prescription ONLY drug. Dont be fooled by those online pharmacies claiming to have genuine propecia available. These are always counterfit and will not have any positive effect on your hair loss. The sad thing is , your loosing more hair all the while you thinking your online purchase is working. The longer hair loss is left untreated the harder it is to get descent results. Hair loss when detected early can be completely halted by dht blockers. (Make sure you check out my special bonus accelerator offer on www.dhtblockers.net .

You can aid any dht supplements you use or propecia by taking care of your diet and complimenting the dht inhibitors with foods like fish that also contain dht blocking properties. I include some diet tips also in my bonus. You can fid the information here free if you read some of the blog posts related to food and hair loss.

Some find it good to combine shampoos, and hair growth products with a healthy lifestyle. This includes plenty of exercise, quitting smoking if that is a habit, and eating the right foods.

Hair loss shampoos

Hair loss shampoos are also good (but only when used with other treatments) for promoting blood circulation and oxygenation in the scalp. However dht shampoos on their own are NOT enough. Revivogen is by far the best dht and haor loss shampoo on the market today. It’s good to bring out a nice shine in your hair and is also mild compared to other high chemical shampoos.

Does smoking cause hair loss?

Nicotine does have a negative effect on the blood circulatory system. Nicotine cause blood vessels to constrict, making it harder for the heart to pump the blood around which in turn leads to hair follicles getting less of what they need to sustain healthy hair growth. Yes this does have effect on your hair but not enough to cause hair loss.

The trick when it comes to hair loss is simply knowledge. Being aware of the changes occurring that are causing you to lose your hair and how to combat these hormonal changes is key. If thinning hair is left untreated, the follicles will eventually die and not produce anymore hair. The only way to restore dead follicles is through expensive hair transplantation.

The History Of Hair Loss

In my next few posts I will be talking about the history of hair loss. I will talk about the earliest findings right up to todays scientific breakthroughs.

the first scientific recording regarding baldness was done by Hippocrates. Since then many scientists have made many discoveries regarding hair loss. Some theories were away off and some were not bad. But really until the second half of the twentieth century, there was no real advances and certainly no way of halting the process.

The firsts major breakthrough was made by a scientist specializing hair loss research named Norman Orentreich. Initially Dr Orentreich’s theories were dismissed and not believed by then then experts and journalists of major medical journals. Four years after his experiment and research, Dr Orentreich finally got it published.

There were many groundbreaking revelations especially about the cause of hair loss. Even though he scientifically proved the real causes of hair loss, unbelievably people still choose to believe many falsities about hair loss causes. I guess we choose what we want to believe in the hope that logical answers will provide logical simple solutions. This is another example of the emotions “denial” in this case wreak on the hair loss sufferer.

So, in the next couple of articles, I will give a history behind the myths, truths and solutions regarding hair loss. I will also give you a clear insight into the life cycle of your hair follicles which will give you a good understanding of how it is natural to shed and regrow hair as part of the hair growth re-growth cycles.

The hair loss starts to occur when the growth phase “re-birth” of shedding begins weaken and eventually stop. As you will see this phase is mainly down to genetics and dht.
